My nephew loves the book so I got him this doll for Christmas. He’s a lot like Max so he loved it. He sleeps with him at night. It is not a puppet it’s a doll. That was the only confusion.

This doll of Max, in his wolf suit and wearing a mischievious grin across his face will delight any fan of the book.

I was very pleased with the quality of these puppets when they arrived. In fact the exceeded my expectations. We got both this puppet and Moishe for our one year old at Christmas because she loves the book. She was thrilled to see these on Christmas morning and immediately recognized them as “Max” and “Monster!”. Months later and they are still her favorites. Would definitely recommend for any and all “Where the Wild Things Are” fans.

I purchased this for my son’s first christmas! I read him the book all the time and he is always pointing out Max. He loves to play peek-a-boo with Max! It is a puppet, not a doll. The opening for your hand would be the butt, so to say.

I love this puppet and so does my 3 year old niece:)I bought the book to go along with it. I also have used it when reading Where the Wild Things Are to my kindergarten students and while focusing on the main character of the story.
