This little guy is great. I loved sharing him with my students. He became an immediate hit during Choosing Time. This puppet is quality-made and durable. I would recommend it to anyone.

Folkmanis’18″ Plush Beaver Puppet is well made, an accurate representation of a beaver, and relatively easy to manipulate. I particularly like the the way the beaver’s flat tail can be used to good effect.
As amateur ventriloquist, my only objection to the puppet is that it is suitable only for close up work. The fur and the eyes are so dark that the eyes cannot be discerned from any distance. The trademark beaver teeth are also hard to see.
The puppet does work well close up. It is not scary for small children the way many accurate animal puppets are and that is definately a plus in my book.

I love this beaver puppet! This is so realistic looking that I startled a few friends with it. They thought it was real.
I especially like the attention to detail in regards to the web rear feet, the flat tail and the claw like fingers. I would definitely recommend this toy to animal lovers.

We love this puppet! He is easy to manipulate and has tons of character. He is realistic enough to be educational but is still cuddly and friendly looking. I love how he moves and you can even make his tail slap. When my husband has him scamper over the girls’ beds to tell them goodnight it is hilarious! My daughter’s favorite animal is the beaver and she checked out a very worn out version of this guy from our local library. She became quite attached to him so when the time came to say good-bye she wanted to use her piggy bank money to buy her own. I was very relieved to find exactly what we were looking for so quickly and easily on Amazon!

I was surprised by the fact that the mouth of the beaver is difficult to move and that the teeth don’t show up very well.
I also have the woodchuck puppet by the same makers, which I may actually modify to use as a beaver. It is lighter in color and a good bit larger. From the stage I need the eyes, teeth, and mouth to be distinct, and I don’t think they will be if I use the beaver puppet. Its coat and eyes are so very dark. Still I am sure the Folk Manis people did their research and made it beaver-like, it is just that sometimes to quote Tom Robbins, “Art must provide what life does not.”
