- Before she dons the “formal wear” look of the adult penguin, this Baby Emperor Penguin puppet sports the grey feather-like plush coat of youth.
- Animate her head and wings to create awkward baby bird-like movement. Measures 8” tall.
- Puppets are wonderful for teaching concepts such as food chain relationships, anatomy, behavior, diversity and life cycles.
- Children naturally gravitate toward puppets and begin role playing as soon as they pick them up, making them an excellent enrichment tool for discussions and presentations.
- A gift of a puppet encourages imaginative, open-ended play, endearing hugs, and snuggly companionship.

My 8 year old likes this little penguin because he is “very soft, cute and realistic.”
We like that this puppet is not floppy like many other puppets. You can play with him like a regular stuffed animal if you want to. My kids usually aren’t interested in puppets. However, my son does say that being able to put the penguin on his finger gives him an easy way to carry him. This little penguin is the best of both worlds — a puppet and a stuffed animal in one.

I got this penguin as a gift, paired with Sandra Boynton’s book “My personal Penguin”. It was perfect. My daughter loves to have the penguin ‘read’ her the book at bedtime. The penguin as finger puppet isn’t the best, the hole for the finger is a bit large even for adult fingers. Overall this product is practically perfect in every way.
